Why use a Move Manager?
You deserve it! Moving is physically demanding and emotionally draining, no matter what your age is. The best thing is, with Serendipity Moves you’re not left with weeks and weeks of packing, cleaning and unpacking. We take care of all of that for you.

How are you different to a removalist company?
Moving involves much more than just a truck on moving day. We minimise the chaos and stress associated with moving by planning, coordinating, and supervising all aspects of your move. We also specialise in working with seniors and bring patience, understanding and good humour during an often bittersweet transition.

How much does a move cost?
Every move is different. Costs are determined by factors such as the size of both your current and future home, the amount of household goods you have and the number of services you need. We work within your budget and will provide you with a written quote during our initial consultation.

Are you insured?
Yes, we are fully insured. We are also a member of NASSM, the National Association of Senior Move Managers and are bound by a pledge of integrity, a commitment to safety and ethics and continued professional development.

Do I always deal with the same person?
Yes, you will have a dedicated Move Manager who will guide you through every stage of your move.

Will you keep my family updated?
Yes, we understand how important it is for your family to be kept informed. We will discuss your move with your family if required and can co-ordinate our timing and services with them where necessary.

Can my family help with some parts of my move?
Yes, we can tailor our services based on your circumstances. We’ll discuss how involved your family may be during our initial consultation.

Do you provide insurance for our move?
Yes, we offer insurance during the move for complete peace of mind. While our experienced removalists take the utmost care with all items they handle, we want you to relax knowing you’re covered in case of any accidental damage.

Do you provide a written quote?
Yes, we’ll provide you with a detailed quote after our initial consultation. This will provide you all the information you require to assess how valuable our services are to you.

Can you handle my Tech and Wi-Fi requirements?
Yes, we will assist in connecting your Wi-Fi and devices plus your TV and audio visual appliances. Desk lamps and floor lights will be working, phones plugged in and we will set all your clocks.

Do you help with the decluttering process?
Yes, we work with you to identify exactly how much space you have in your new home. We can then assist you with sorting through your belongings room by room. We assist you with making decisions on items you’re keeping, gifting to family, selling, donating or discarding.

Do you really hang my pictures and artwork?
Yes, we provide this valuable service. When we welcome you into your new home at the end of your move day, everything will be in its place. Your floors will even be vacuumed and your bed will be made.

Can you help with interior decorating or design assistance?
Yes, our colour and design consultant can help bring out the best in your new home.

Can you put me in touch with other services?
Yes, we have partnerships with other services that you may need at this time, including real estate agents and legal professionals.

Can you help prepare my current home for sale?
Yes, we can tailor a service based on your needs.

Can you help me buy items for my new home?
Yes, we can assist in shopping for new items based on an hourly rate.

Can you organise my phone and electricity connection?
Yes, we’re here to ensure everything is taken care of and have a partner that can help with that.
